Music can't be copied on to iPod, not authorized

After having some problems I restored my iPod. I now get this message when manually loading music from the library: "(song)" was not copied to the iPod "My iPod" because you are not authorized for it on this computer". I checked, and this Mac is one of two authorized. Any way to fix this?

I'm going to answer my own question. I followed a thread after asking and found the solution. The songs that were unable to be copied were the oldest ones I'd purchased, probably back when iTunes was first born, and that may or may not have something to do with it. The fix is to go into the Library file and change the song name ending from .m4p to .mp4. Worked on every song. Maybe someone knows why...
